Get Berkshire Active launches the #MoveWithUsBerkshire Campaign

Get Berkshire Active is launching a local campaign promoting physical activity as a priority in tackling the impact of the pandemic outbreak.

The aims of the #MoveWithUsBerkshire Campaign are:-

  • to increase engagement across Berkshire’s local communities, organisations and individuals;
  • to encourage more Berkshire residents to become active;
  • to support audiences that were mostly impacted by the pandemic (older people, disabled and people with long-term health conditions, BAME group, low-income communities, people with obesity and others);
  • to inspire others by sharing stories of resilience, combating isolation and finding new ways to stay active and connected;
  • to build new healthy habits, helping people support their friends, families and colleagues.

For more information and to find out how organisations and clubs in Berkshire can get involved, see the MoveWithUsBerkshire page on the Get Berkshire Active website

Sports Awards 2020

We have been monitoring the ever-changing government guidelines throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, but with the current social distancing and gathering guidelines and the limited sport being played over the last few months, we have regrettably decided to cancel this year’s Sports Awards. We are pleased that a lot of sport has been able to resume in some form over the last few weeks, and hope that things return to some form of normality soon.

We look forward to announcing plans for the 2021 Sports Awards, and to receiving your nominations. In the meantime if there are any achievements which you feel should be recognised, any forthcoming sporting events you would like publicised or any issues you would like raised, please get in touch.
